After more than 40 years in agriculture, West Central has made many breakthroughs. Our lineup of ortho-ortho EDDHA chelate products, including Soygreen, Redline and Copper-Field, has helped farmers get the most from a wide variety of crops.
Now, this chelation technology is available as a pure chelating agent that you can mix with liquid fertilizer and apply in-furrow. It’s called Levesol, and it helps maximize nutrient efficiency by helping make nutrients in the soil or in a tank mix available for uptake.
Better Micronutrient Availability
Today’s crops need high levels of nutrients to help them grow to their best potential. But micronutrients can get “bound up” in the soil when they bond with negatively charged components.
When this happens, the plant cannot take up the nutrients. So even though nutrients are present in the soil, the plant can’t benefit from them.
Levesol fixes this problem, thanks to the power of its ortho-ortho EDDHA chelate, which protects nutrients from bonding with negatively-charged soil components.
Other fertilizers use an ortho-para EDDHA formula, which creates an incomplete bond around the nutrients and leaves them open to bind with the soil. But the ortho-ortho EDDHA chelate in Levesol fully protects nutrients and makes them soluble for uptake by the plant.
Better Phosphorus Availability
Levesol makes micronutrients in the soil like zinc (Zn), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu) and manganese (Mn) immediately soluble for uptake. And by keeping micronutrients in a soluble form, Levesol prevents them from binding with phosphorous (P). This results in more phosphorus (P) free for uptake and increases overall nutrient efficiency.
Once nutrients are taken up by the plant roots, Levesol also improves translocation, which helps developing crops use the nutrients more efficiently.
Compatible with corn, sugarbeets, soybeans, dry beans, sunflowers, wheat, barley and sorghum, Levesol is the only pure chelating agent you can mix with liquid fertilizer and apply in-furrow. Following in the footsteps of Soygreen, Redline and Copper-Field, Levesol is taking in-furrow applications to a new level.
